In the celebratory year, Kraš confirms its leading position and continues to grow

Today, the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, visited Kraš. The beginning of Kraš's business dates back to 1911, and the longest-running Croatian confectionery factory has produced brands that have been favorite products for generations among Croatian and foreign consumers. Today, the Kraš Group is a regional leader in the confectionery industry, exporting to more than 40 countries and employing over 2,300 people. The last published business results for the first three quarters of 2021 showed the continued growth of sales revenues and profits of the company and sales growth in all segments, which increased the total volume.

After visiting the factory's production plant, President Milanović said that he wanted Kraš to double its' growth. "It is an ambition that seems high to me, but realistic. The company had a very strong market position and holds it. However, we need to move forward," said Zoran Milanovic, President of the Republic of Croatia.

"We are proud that even after an impressive 110 years of continuous work, Kraš is still a company that holds an important place in the Croatian economy. Business, which is reflected in stable financial results, recognizable and quality products, and a clear vision of the future of the company, guarantees the further development and growth of all segments of production and sales. It is a strategy that will enable the strengthening of positions in domestic and foreign markets. The formula for continuing successful business is a continuous investment, monitoring new trends in the industry, care for customer satisfaction, but also all our employees who are the most important link in our chain of excellence," said Slavko Ledić, CEO of Kraš.

The beginning of the new year in Kraš was marked by the merger of the Osijek biscuit and waffle factory Karolina.
This year, Kraš continues with the process of investing in production at all three production sites in Zagreb, Osijek and Prijedor, and this is the largest investment cycle in the past 10 years. Within this cycle, significant investments have already been made in production equipment such as a new line for the production and packaging of the Animal Kingdom, a new line for the production and packaging of tea and filled tea biscuits in Mira Prijedor. About 10 million euros of investments in automation and improvement of the technological process are planned for this year, which will result in even better and more competitive Kraš products.
